| HMGB-2

HMGB2 (HMGB2 gene product) is a DNA-binding protein that bends DNA and aids repair (e.g., double-strand breaks, V(D)J recombination). Its HMG-box domains enable chromatin remodeling, influencing transcription and genome stability. Overexpressed in cancers and stem cells, it’s vital for development and disease.
